a pinto birthday

Our Addy was born on Memorial Day weekend. Which means for pretty much the rest of her life she gets to spend her birthday at Pinto, for our Dan Hafen Renunion. Which, I think, suits her just fine. We had her party the day before and then headed right on up to Pinto town. We had to sing to her of course, and let her dig into the closest thing to a cupcake we could find in Veyo (the nearest civilization). I'm thinkin she's a chocolate kind of girl.

A carefree girl has room to roam as she pleases out here. And roam she did... All Over...
Wouldn't be complete without a good swing on the tire.

We had Auntie Trisha's baby shower. Grandma's chair is my kind of sun lounger.

The girls sunbathin in Grandma's Nighties. Classic.

I'm thinking we have to get Addy some monster trucks... She LOVED her cousin's. Almost as much as she loved homemade dutch oven peach cobbler...mmmmm!

Of course the sun didn't last. This is what we had to wake up to... It's enough to freeze your biscuits off when you're sleepin in the shed:) But miss Addy didn't mind a bit, unless we really just wore her out. She slept all night!

My favorite part of the weekend? Watching Addy play with her little cousin buddies. She's a totally social girl. Bo, Addy, and Jude: all just a few months apart. This is priceless.

This is our group pic of the babies from last year. Not everyone could make it this year. But we had to keep the tradition going. There's Jude, Bo, and Addy on the right end. So much changes in just one year. It blows my mind.
She was just 2 days old... I remember them telling me and Travis then to eat it up cuz it goes...and it goes FAST. Man, they weren't kidding. Seems like I blinked and that first year was over. And I know it's cliche, but no matter what, she'll always be my baby. Nothing could ever change that.
