The secret to keeping addy happy on a long walk? Bring the dog! (and you'll find her literally shrieking with laughter the entire way.) I'm not sure yet what it is about these creatures that fascinates her soo much. But just to give you an idea of just how dog-oriented she is: First three words are dog "ogg," doggie "ahgie," and oscar "okur." Travis and I both lost the battle to be her first word pathetically!! TO A DOG, no less!! In fact, all day our conversations have gone something like this: "Addy, say MAMA!" "Okur?" "No. MAMA." "Okur."...and so on, and on and on. And every stuffed animal and baby doll is somehow an "Ahgie." Anyway, back to our walk with the exalted pooch...now she even reaches up and grabs hold of the leash! and she actually hangs on for the entire ride! She'll be wanting to hold it by herself all too soon, I'm sure. This only works with Zoey, mind you. Even mom can't keep hold of Oscar.
The view from my end:

My happy outdoor and animal enthusiast:

My mom's new puppy Tucker. She tortures him almost as much as he tortures her...

We also take Baby on walks a lot. She's a distant, second-favorite walking companion.

Speaking of walking, I turned around last week and Addy strolled right past me with her walker, like it was no big deal, and I've never even shown her how to use it. She just turned nine months a few days ago. I'm in trouble.
