My fellow Americans

It's a proud day for Republicans. After years of being divided, spineless, wannabe democrat pleasers, house republicans finally came together and stood up for something. The stand they took was against this pork barrel joke they call an economy stimulus package which is more of your taxpayer dollars down the drain. Among other atrocities, this bill included millions of dollars for the foundation for the arts, atv trails, Amtrak--which has never turned a profit, Digital TV converter coupons, and global warming research. The total came to over 800 billion dollars. And guess who's now held accountable? You and me...All of us who work for a living.

Freshman Rep. Frank Kratovil, D-Md., called it "wasteful spending" and Rep. Roscoe Bartlett, R-Md., was applauded by fellow Republicans for standing up to Obama during a meeting.
"Mr. President, I think our obsessive borrowing has fully mortgaged my kids and my grandkids," Bartlett told Obama, according to statement from Bartlett's office. "Now we're working on mortgaging my two great-grandkids.
"Mr. President, I think it's more than a little bit selfish to try to solve our economic problems which we created by burdening future generations yet to be born," he added

My question is how does any of this stimulate anything or create any jobs?! THIS is YOUR MONEY! Personally, I'm floored and utterly livid that the majority of the general American public doesn't pay attention to or care what these hacks do with their hard earned dollars. They have more of a direct effect on your life than you think they do and Everyone seems to think that what they think or say doesn't make a bit of difference, but i'm here to tell you that if enough people paid attention and made our voices heard it would matter. These people, who we elected by the way, get away with murder... and the worst part is we let them. They only want you to believe you have no control. They don't hold all the cards, WE do. Take a stand. Hold them accountable. They work for us dang it--We put them there after all. Be a proud American citizen and get involved and be informed. I don't care what you stand for, but stand for something. It's more important now than it's ever been. Every House Republican and the eleven moderate Democrats who stood against this garbage deserves our praise and respect because they are going to be so harshly scrutinized for this.
